News growing around resource inequality in Charlotte
A recent WSOC-TV report discusses how tax money is distributed throughout Charlotte by district. West Charlotte receives the most and South Charlotte receives the least. The information discussed covers 2002-2010. It is an interesting finding but there is certainly more to this story as the West and South sides are still very different.
Channel 9 report on city tax distribution
A second investigative report looks at how a HOA management company may be mismanaging the dues collected in a Charlotte HOA. There seems to be a growing concern over non-professional managers handling the resources of the increasing number of HOAs. There is also a hotline at the bottom of the report to call if you feel your HOA is taking advantage of your neighborhood.
